GRACE LICHTENWALD is passionate about social justice and is committed to representing unions and advocating for the rights of workers.
Before joining Black Burke Mayor LLP, Grace practised with a full-service law firm, practising primarily in areas of civil litigation, family law, and wills and estates.
Grace graduated with a law degree from the University of British Columbia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, also from UBC. During law school, Grace worked at WorkSafeBC, gaining experience with the workers’ compensation system. She also spent a semester assisting clients with a range of legal matters through the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic, and worked as a legal research assistant on projects related to housing and municipal planning. Grace volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and was a recipient of the Law Foundation of BC Public Interest Award.
Grace is a member of the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch and is available to assist clients in English and French.
