Black Burke Mayor LLP is a progressive labour and employment law firm, located in downtown Vancouver.
Black Burke Mayor LLP was founded in 1999, originally as Black Gropper, by Allan Black and Miriam Gropper and associates of the former Vancouver law firm McTaggart Ellis, which was founded in 1917, and had represented trade unions (local, national and international), labour organizations, teachers and other employees for over 75 years. It was the oldest firm practicing union side labour and employment law in the Province. We have a long-standing and varied clientele of which we are extremely proud, and we continue to grow and develop new client relationships.
We believe that our success is rooted in our team of dedicated professionals who enjoy the practice of labour and employment law. We also credit our success to the collaborative, innovative and problem-solving approach that we use to address our client’s needs in a cost-efficient and effective manner.
